Effective Date: October 2025
At Qbito Nepal Pvt. Ltd., we ensure safe, transparent, and policy-compliant domain and hosting transfer services. By purchasing, registering, or requesting a transfer through Qbito Nepal, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. General Agreement
These Terms and Conditions govern all domain and hosting transfer services offered by Qbito Nepal. By using our services, you confirm that you are the authorized owner or have official permission to manage and transfer the respective domain or hosting account.
2. Domain Transfer Policy
-
Domain transfer requests are processed only after full payment verification.
-
Domains must be unlocked and EPP/Auth codes correctly provided (for transferable domains).
-
The domain must be active, not expired, and not within 15 days of renewal deadline.
-
Transfer times depend on registrar policies (typically 3–7 business days).
-
Qbito Nepal is not liable for delays, errors, or rejections from third-party registrars.
-
Once completed, domain access will be transferred to the client’s registered email.
3. Free Domain Registration (.com.np, .edu.np, etc.)
-
Domains such as .com.np, .edu.np, .org.np, etc., are free and managed manually by Mercantile Communications (register.com.np).
-
Such domains cannot be transferred from one registrar or user account to another, as their management is handled manually through official documentation.
-
Developers (including Qbito Nepal) may assist clients in registering and setting up these domains initially using their developer or temporary email to complete configuration, hosting, and verification processes.
-
Once setup is completed, clients must provide:
-
A valid organization or personal email,
-
A citizenship or organization registration certificate, and
-
Other required documents for ownership update.
-
-
Qbito Nepal will assist in the process of requesting Mercantile Communications to change the administrative contact email to the client’s official email.
-
However, due to Mercantile policy, developers cannot directly transfer ownership — the client must request this change officially via email to Mercantile.
-
After the ownership change is completed, Qbito Nepal will no longer hold access or responsibility for the domain.
4. Hosting Transfer Policy
-
Hosting transfer requests require valid cPanel, Plesk, or FTP credentials from the client’s existing provider.
-
Qbito Nepal will help migrate files, databases, and emails where possible.
-
Clients are responsible for creating a backup before the migration starts.
-
Qbito Nepal is not liable for data loss or website downtime during transfer.
-
Once hosting is migrated successfully, clients are responsible for verifying functionality and updating DNS as required.
5. Payment and Fees
-
All transfer and setup charges must be paid in advance.
-
Refunds are only issued if the transfer fails due to Qbito Nepal’s internal issue.
-
No refunds apply if the failure is caused by expired domains, incorrect credentials, or third-party policies.
6. Ownership and Responsibility
-
Clients are fully responsible for the accuracy of their registration details.
-
Qbito Nepal is not responsible for any ownership disputes after completion.
-
After setup or hosting migration, the domain and hosting become the client’s property and responsibility.
7. Data Privacy and Security
-
Qbito Nepal treats all client credentials and information as confidential.
-
Shared credentials are used solely for migration/setup and deleted after completion.
8. Cancellation Policy
-
A transfer or setup request can be canceled only before processing starts.
-
Once initiated, no cancellation or refund will be possible.
9. Limitation of Liability
Qbito Nepal will not be held liable for:
-
Delays caused by Mercantile or third-party registrar systems.
-
Data loss during hosting migration.
-
Domain rejection for invalid or incomplete documents.
-
DNS propagation delays or configuration issues.
